Cluster admission tests begin from Friday
Admission tests for the 2025–26 academic session under the cluster system of 20 public universities will begin on Friday, starting with the ‘C’ unit for business studies.
According to admission committee sources, the exam will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at 21 centers nationwide, with more than 25,000 candidates expected to participate.
The test will be conducted in MCQ format, carrying 100 marks with a duration of one hour. The minimum pass mark has been set at 30, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Second-time applicants are also eligible to sit for the exam this year.
Islamic University's acting registrar, also the secretary of the cluster admission committee, Professor Dr Manjurul Haque said that all preparations have been completed.
“Question papers have already been dispatched to the centers. After the exam, the technical committee will evaluate the answer scripts and prepare the results,” he said.
A total of 284,480 candidates applied for admission across three units this year. Among them, 166,162 applied for the ‘A’ unit (Science), 93,102 for the ‘B’ unit (Humanities), and 25,216 for the ‘C’ unit (Business Studies).
The total number of seats available across the 20 universities is approximately 13,500.
The ‘C’ unit exam on March 27 marks the start of the admission process. The ‘B’ unit (Humanities) exam will be held on April 3, followed by the ‘A’ unit (Science) exam on April 10.
