Iran has come under a series of reported strikes targeting critical infrastructure, including a major water supply centre and university facilities, as tensions escalate in the region.

According to reports, the attacks were carried out by the United States and Israel and affected multiple cities, including Haftgel in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan province. The strikes come amid heightened regional instability and mark a further escalation in hostilities.

One of the primary targets was a water supply centre with a capacity of approximately 10,000 cubic meters (10 million liters or 2.6 million gallons), a facility considered vital to local water distribution. The extent of the damage has not yet been independently verified.

Tehran also came under heavy bombardment over the past 24 hours, with multiple locations reportedly hit. However, authorities have not confirmed the full scope of the strikes or the exact sites targeted.

In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a strong warning, stating that retaliatory measures are being considered. The IRGC indicated that US-affiliated universities in the region could be potential targets if the situation continues to escalate.
