Abdul Hamid to take oath Tuesday as president for 2nd term

President M Abdul Hamid will be sworn in as the head of the state for a second consecutive term on Tuesday as parliament unanimously decided to entrust him with the presidency for another tenure, reports BSS. 

"The oath-taking ceremony will take place at 7:30 pm on Tuesday . . . Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will administer his oath of office at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban," President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS last evening. 

He added that all necessary preparations were taken on the occasion.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Chief Justice, former Presidents of the country, Judges, cabinet members, lawmakers, senior politicians, diplomats and other dignitaries are expected to be present there.
