The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members arrested prime accused Awal, also chairman of Islami Democratic Party, from Bhairab area on Thursday.

Earlier on Sunday, the miscreants hacked Shahin Uddin, 33, mercilessly in front of his six-year-old son inside a garage at Bloc- D in Pallabi over a land dispute, leaving him dead on the spot.

On the following day, Shahin's mother Alkima Begum lodged a case with Pallabi Police Station in this connection.
