Commission to recommend scrapping police verification

The Public Administration Reform Commission has said it will recommend scrapping police verification in various cases, including government job recruitment.
The commission’s chief, Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, shared this information in a view-exchange with the journalists at the Secretariat on Tuesday, December 17.
“Police verification is mandatory in various matters, including job recruitment. We are recommending it will no longer be anywhere,” he said.
“You will take passport, its your civic rights. Why you will have to do police verification,” he added.
