Kazi Nazrul’s grandson succumbs to burn injuries

Babul Kazi, the grandson of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, who sustained burn injuries after a gas lighter exploded in his Banani home in Dhaka early Saturday, has passed away.
He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Sunday.
Shaon Bin Rahman, a resident doctor at the institute, confirmed the death to Jago News, stating that Babul died around 5:00 pm. Earlier in the day, Babul had been put on life support as his condition was critical.
Physicians said 75% of his body was burnt, and a 13-member medical board had been formed for his treatment.
