2 arrested for selling free textbooks, books seized

Two members of a syndicate involved in selling and hoarding free textbooks, which were intended for distribution to primary and secondary school students, have been arrested. During the operation, two trucks filled with books were seized.
The arrests and recovery of the books took place during a raid on Wednesday in the capital, conducted by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch (DB).
DC Mohammad Talebur Rahman of the DMP Media and Public Relations Department shared this information on the evening of the same day.
He also mentioned that further details would be provided in a press conference at the DMP Media Centre on Thursday, where Joint Police Commissioner (DB-South) Mohammad Nasirul Islam will brief the media.
