Cold wave hits 2 dists, may spread to northern, western regions

The temperature has dropped across the country since Thursday, leading to an increase in cold weather. The weather office on Saturday reported that the cold wave is currently affecting the Dinajpur and Panchagarh districts, with the possibility of spreading to northern and western regions starting Sunday.
In the 24-hour forecast from 9 am Saturday, meteorologists warned of moderate to dense fog in parts of the country, especially from midnight to morning. The fog may persist until noon in some areas, potentially disrupting air travel, river transport, and road communications.
Meteorologist Shahinul Islam stated that night temperatures across the country could drop by 1-2 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain relatively unchanged.
Although Friday’s cold was particularly harsh in the capital, temperatures have slightly risen today. Dhaka’s temperature, which was 13.4°C on Friday, increased to 15.4°C on Saturday morning.
The lowest temperature recorded in the country today was 9.2°C in Dinajpur.
