2 die in Ctg fire

Two people died, and three others sustained burn injuries in a fire that broke out at Jafar Sawdagar Colony in the Boluardighi Par area of Chattogram on Monday morning. The injured were admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

“Upon receiving information at 6:42 am, several firefighting units from Lamar Bazar and Nandankanon fire stations rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire,” said Abdul Malek, Assistant Director of Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence.

However, the Fire Service could not confirm the cause of the fire.

ASI Alauddin of CMCH’s police outpost told Jago News that doctors declared two victims dead after they were brought to the hospital following the fire at Boluardighi. Three more injured individuals are currently undergoing treatment.
