Old Dhaka house fire under control
The fire that broke out in a house in Old Dhaka’s Islambagh on Saturday afternoon, February 15, has been brought under control.
The firefighters contained the fire around 4:27pm after around an hour’s frantic efforts, said Anwarul Islam Dolan, media cell official at Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.
Earlier, the fire was reported around 3:15pm. Later, eight units of the fire extinguishers rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.
However, causes of the fire could not be known immediately and no casualties were reported yet, the official said.
