Ashulia gas cylinder blast: Another victim dies

Another victim of the gas cylinder explosion in Ashulia of Savar, on the outskirts of capital Dhaka, died on Saturday afternoon, March 1.

With this, the death toll from the blast rose to four.

The victim, Soaid, 4, died at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the capital around 1:30pm, said the facility's resident physician Shaon Bin Rahman.

Around 27 per cent of the minor child’s body was burnt, he added.

Earlier on February 14, 11 people, including women and children, suffered burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast in a house in Ashulia. 

Later, they were taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery where three of them succumbed to their injuries.
