Launch services on Daulatdia-Paturia route resume after 46 hrs

Launch services on Daulatdia-Paturia route resumed on Saturday morning, May 31, after around 46 hours of suspension due to adverse weather.
Launch movements on the route resumed at about 6:45am as weather condition improved, said Daulatdia ghat manager Nurul Anwar Milon.
Earlier, the authorities suspended launch services from 9:00am and ferry movements from 3:30pm on Thursday, May 29, to avoid accidents caused by the turbulent Padma River.
However, ferry services resumed around 7:30pm on the day as weather condition improved, and launch movement remained halted.
