Former BGMEA senior vice president dies in Canada boat capsize

Two Bangladeshi nationals, including former senior vice president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Abdullah Hil Rakib, have died in a boat accident in Canada's Ontario province.
Other victim was Rakib's friend and captain of Biman aircraft Boeing 787 Saifuz Zaman Guddu.
The incident occurred at Sturgeon Lake in Kawartha Lakes area of Toronto on Sunday, June 8.
Mohiuddin Rubel, additional managing director of Denim Expert and former director of BGMEA, confirmed the matter to the media this morning.
A canoe carrying three men capsized on Sturgeon Lake near Bobcaygeon on Sunday afternoon, June 8, and of them, one was able to swim to shore, but the other two drowned, reports KawarthaNow.
