2 more dengue deaths, 337 fresh cases recorded in 24 hrs
Two more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours (from Wednesday 8:00am to Thursday 8:00am), taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 54 this year.
Of the new deaths, one was reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and another in Chattogram division (outside the city corporation).
During the period, 337 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, raising the total cases to 13,931 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (July 10).
Of the new cases, highest 101 were reported in Barishal division (out of cc), 58 in Chattogram division (out of cc), 41 in Dhaka division (out of cc), 26 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 50 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
Besides, 28 cases were recorded in Khulna division (out of cc), 5 in Mymensingh division (out of cc), 27 in Rajshahi division (out of cc), and 1 in Sylhet division (out of cc).
