Fire erupts at factory in Karnaphuli EPZ

A fire erupted at a factory in Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) area of Chattogram city on Friday afternoon, July 11.
The fire originated at the factory named Zant Accessories around 2:51pm, said Mozammel, a telephone operator at the control room of Chattogram Divisional Fire Service.
Later, a total of eight units of the firefighters rushed to the spot and were working to control the fire, he said.
However, causes of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be known immediately, the official added.
