The death toll from the Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crash in Dhaka’s Uttara area has risen to 22 , with 170 others currently receiving treatment in various hospitals across the city.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the updated figures in a statement issued on Monday night, July 21.

The F-7 BGI trainer jet crashed shortly after takeoff at around 1:06 PM, slamming into the Haider Hall building of Milestone School and College in Sector 4 of Uttara, triggering a massive fire. The impact and resulting blaze caused extensive casualties among students, staff, and bystanders.

The ISPR released a detailed breakdown of the injured and fatalities by hospital:

 Bangladehs-Kuwait Friendship Hospital : 8 injured, no deaths

National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute : 69 injured, 3 deaths

Dhaka Medical College Hospital : 3 injured, 1 death

CMH-Dhaka (Combined Military Hospital) : 17 injured, 12 deaths

Kurmitola General Hospital : 1 injured, 2 deaths

Lubna General Hospital and Cardiac Center, Uttara : 11 injured, 2 deaths

Uttara Adhunik Medical College Hospital : 60 injured, 1 death

Uttara Crescent Hospital : 1 injured, no deaths

Jago News Correspondent at Dhaka Medical College Hospital reported one more death there.

Rescue operations continued late into the night as emergency teams worked to clear debris and recover remains from the crash site. Firefighters and military personnel were seen removing wreckage from the damaged school building.
