2 more arrested in Sohag murder

Police have arrested two more accused in a case over the sensational murder of scrap metal trader Sohag near Mitford Hospital in Old Dhaka.
The arrestees are Md Parvez, 26, and Md Jahirul Islam, 38.
On a tip-off, a team from Kotwali police station apprehended them in a drive in Dhaka's Keraniganj on Wednesday morning, July 23, said the police station's officer-in-charge, Md Moniruzzaman.
With this, a total of 11 individuals have been arrested in the case.
Lal Chand alias Sohag, 39, a scrap metal trader, was hacked and beaten to death in broad daylight at Mitford Hospital gate on July 9.
Following the incident, the victim’s elder sister filed a murder case with the Kotwali police station.
