2 more die from dengue, 762 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Two more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 255 this year.

Of the new deaths, one was reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and another in Khulna division (Out of CC).

During the period, 762 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 62,367 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (October 22).

Of the new cases, 129 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 79 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 170 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 160 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 100 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 40 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 41 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 39 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), three in Rangpur division (Out of CC), and one in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
