10 die from dengue in a single day

Ten people died from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 302 this year.

Of the new deaths, one was reported in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and three were recorded in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

During the period, 1,069 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 74,992 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement on Wednesday (November 5).

Of the new cases, 128 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 99 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 219 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 251 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 152 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 68 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 70 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 34 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), 43 in Rangpur division (Out of CC), and five in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
