Even a thousand executions too little for Hasina: Snigdho
Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdho, the brother of Shaheed Mir Mugdho, said that even if former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina were executed a thousand times for the crimes against humanity committed during the July mass uprising, it would still be too little for her.
He made the statement while speaking to reporters on Monday (17 November) in front of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).
Snigdho stated, “The verdict on Sheikh Hasina’s wrongdoing had already been made on 5 August. Now, it is awaiting formal announcement by the court. However, for the crimes Hasina committed, even a thousand executions would still be too little for her.”
The verdict in the case against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and two others, concerning crimes against humanity committed during July–August, will be delivered today. Security arrangements have been tightened at the International Crimes Tribunal premises in connection with the verdict.
