Prime accused held in Narsingdi teen rape, murder

Police have arrested Nur Mohammad, alias Nura, the prime accused in the rape and subsequent killing of a teenage girl in Narsingdi. 

Nura, 28, was apprehended in Mawna area of Gazipur around 9:00 pm on Friday, February 27, Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Madhabdi Police Station, Narsingdi, told BSS. 

The 15-year-old girl's body was recovered from a field between Bilpara and Darikandi in Mahishashura Union under Sadar upazila on Thursday, February 26.

The victim's mother filed a case with Madhabdi police station on Thursday night, naming nine individuals, with two to three others still unidentified.

According to the case documents, the girl was abducted from her father's custody and murdered for demanding justice for her rape.
