3 arrested in raid at Mohammadpur’s Geneva Camp

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three individuals along with a locally made firearm, sharp weapons, and a quantity of drugs during a special operation at Geneva Camp in Mohammadpur.

The operation was carried out in the ara around 8:00 pm on Thursday.

According to localss, RAB personnel launched a sudden raid in the area, creating panic among inhabitants. Several suspected drug dealers managed to flee after receiving advance information about the operation, raising concerns over possible information leaks.

Confirming the matter, RAB-2 Commanding Officer Khalidul Haque Howlader said the arrested individuals were found in possession of a locally made firearm, Yaba tablets, and sharp weapons, including samurai swords.

Geneva Camp would be cleared of drug-related activities and turned into a safe residential area, warning that drug dealers would not be allowed to operate there, he added.
