BCL leader Jubayer gets bail

Dhaka South City Chhatra League general secretary Md Jubayer Ahmed has secured bail in a case filed for allegedly obstructing law enforcers from performing government work.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohona Alamgir on Friday granted bail to him after police produced him before the court, seeking a five-day remand.

On information that some people have been extorting in the name of the home minister, the Rapid Action Battalion conducted a drive at Sabujbagh in the capital of Dhaka on Wednesday night and detained Dhaka South City vice president Delwar Hossain Sayedee with arms and drugs.

Later, 150-200 people led by BCL leader Jubayer attempted to snatch away Sayedee from RAB's custody.
