People won't allow local polls before JS election: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the country's people will not allow local government polls before the national election.
He made the remarks while addressing a rally at the Town Hall Ground, Jashore on Tuesday evening, February 18.
“If you (Chief Adviser) want to politically rehabilitate the friends of the fallen dictator by giving local government election before Jatiya Sangsad polls, the countrymen will not allow it,” he said.
“You also take part in the election leaving power. If people’s verdict goes in favour of you, you will govern the country. Still, we will say ensure the right to vote,” he added.
He also said reform is a continuing process and these reforms will come into force when a democratic government is established in the country.
