Tarique to meet Yunus in London on June 13

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will meet Bangladesh's Chief Adviser, Prof Muhammad Yunus, in London, UK on June 13.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir shared this information with the journalists at the party chairperson’s political office in Dhaka’s Gulshan on Tuesday, June 10.
The meeting will begin at 9:00am (local time) on the day at the hotel in London where Chief Adviser will be staying, Fakhrul said.
A government source confirmed that discussions at the meeting may cover the upcoming national parliamentary elections, the current political landscape, and potential compromises or strategic positions of political parties.
The Chief Adviser’s press secretary, Shafiqul Alam, recently told a media outlet, “Tarique Rahman leads a major political party in Bangladesh. A meeting with the Chief Adviser in London would send a positive signal for the country. However, it’s not yet confirmed. We’ll know more upon reaching London.”
Professor Muhammad Yunus departed Dhaka for a four-day official visit to the UK on Monday, June 9.
