Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Amir Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher has said vote cast rate would be low if the next national elections and referendum are held on a day.
"If the national elections and referendum take place on the same day, there will be low casting because there will be no importance of referendum on the parliamentary election day," he said.
Taher made the remarks while talking to the reporters after a meeting of the National Consensus Commission (NCC) with political parties at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka on Wednesday evening, October 15.
The Jamaat leader hoped that his party will join the signing ceremony of the 'July National Charter'.
