EC adds 'Water Lily Bud' to symbol list

The Election Commission (EC) has included 'Water Lily Bud' in the list of electoral symbols amid National Citizen Party's (NCP) demand to allocate 'Water Lily' symbol to the party.

The 'Water Lily Bud' was added as the number 102 of election symbols on Thursday, October 30.

Earlier on Monday, October 27, Election Commission Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed said 'Water Lily' will not be allocated to the National Citizen Party (NCP) as it is not included in the list of scheduled symbols of the Election Conduct Rules.

Rather, the Commission will allot another symbol, and later, issue a public notice in this regard, he had said.

The National Citizen Party has been demanding the Election Commission must allocate it the 'Water Lily' symbol .
