Polls schedule in 2nd week of December: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin said, on Saturday, November 29, that the schedule for the 13th parliamentary elections will be announced in the second week of December.

He said this while speaking to reporters after inspecting a mock voting at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Govt. Girls High School in Dhaka on Saturday morning, November 29.

"When the schedule will be announced, our senior secretary (Akhtar Ahmed) has repeatedly spoken about this. We hope it will be in the second week of December," Nasir replied to a query from the journalists.

The Election Commission (EC) arranged a mock voting at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Govt Girls High School today to assess its preparations for the upcoming national elections and referendum.

Earlier on August 28, the EC unveiled the roadmap for the 13th general election, focusing on 24 key activities, including the demarcation of constituencies, the voter list finalisation, and the registration of political parties with the commission.
