NSC renames Bangabandhu Stadium

The National Sports Council, NSC, has renamed the Bangabandhu National Stadium to National Stadium, Dhaka.
This information was revealed in a notification signed by NSC secretary Mohammad Aminul Islam on Saturday, February 15.
The stadium was previously known as Dhaka Stadium, and in 1998, the then Awami League government changed its name to Bangabandhu Stadium.
Built in 1954, the stadium is situated in the capital’s Paltan area.
