BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was spotted in high spirits at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday evening, July 20, enthusiastically watching the first T20 match between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Fakhrul, who arrived at the stadium with a group of party leaders, was visibly excited throughout the game, applauding every wicket and cheering on the Tigers’ bowling unit.

His enthusiasm was noted by BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan, who described the leader as "deeply engaged and visibly delighted" by the team's performance.

Bangladesh’s bowlers delivered a fiery spell, dismantling Pakistan for a meager total of 110 runs in the first innings. Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Sheikh Mehedi , and Rishad Hossain wreaked havoc, leaving the visitors struggling from the start.

Pakistan’s batting lineup collapsed early, with opener Saim Ayub dismissed in the second over by Taskin Ahmed. Wickets fell in quick succession as Haris Rauf, Salman Agha , and Azam Khan returned to the pavilion one after another.

The match, held at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka’s Mirpur, marks the beginning of the three-match T20I series between the two teams.
