Dhaka Capitals assistant coach dies

Dhaka Capitals assistant coach Mahbub Ali Zaki passed away after suffering a medical emergency during pre-match activities in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Saturday, December 27.

Zaki had entered the field with the team as part of routine pre-match formalities and was taking part in warm-up preparations when he suddenly collapsed near the dugout. The team physiotherapist immediately administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), after which he briefly regained responsiveness and was rushed to hospital.

His condition worsened en route, and he was pronounced dead by the attending physician following emergency examinations.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed deep shock at his passing, paying tribute to his contributions to the development of local cricket.
