The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has postponed Tuesday’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) matches in observance of national mourning after the death of the country's former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The two matches scheduled for Tuesday, Sylhet Titans vs Chattogram Royals and Dhaka Capitals vs Rangpur Riders, will be rescheduled, with new dates to be announced later, the BCB said.

In a condolence statement, the BCB paid tribute to Khaleda Zia’s contributions to the development of cricket in Bangladesh, highlighting her role in improving infrastructure and promoting the sport during her tenure as prime minister. The board also prayed for her soul and extended sympathies to her bereaved family.
