Bangladesh U-20 advance to semifinals after 1–1 draw with India
Bangladesh Under-20 secured their place in the semifinals of the SAFF U-20 Championship after a 1–1 draw against India in their final group-stage match.
The result was enough for Bangladesh to finish as group runners-up and book a spot in the last four of the tournament.
Despite conceding in the first half, Bangladesh responded strongly before the break. Ronan Sullivan delivered a precise corner, which substitute Abdul Riyad Fahim converted with a header to restore parity just before halftime.
The equaliser proved decisive as Bangladesh held firm in the second half to preserve the draw and confirm their semifinal qualification.
