Gold prices rise by Tk 3033 per bhori

The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association has decided to raise the prices of gold by Tk 3033 per bhori following an increase in prices of pure gold in the local market.

The new prices will come into effect from Sunday (December 4).

BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring took the decision in a meeting on Saturday, a press release said.

Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 87,247 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat Tk 83,281, 18-carat Tk 71,384, and gold of traditional method Tk 59,486 respectively.  

Earlier on November 18, the jeweller’s association hiked the gold prices by Tk 1,570 per bhori to Tk 84,214.
