Gold price cut by Tk 1167 per bhori

The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association has decided to reduce the price of gold by Tk 1,167 per bhori following a decrease in the price of pure gold in the local market.

Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 96,461 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat Tk 92,087, 18-carat Tk 78,907, and gold of traditional method Tk 65,785 respectively.

BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring took the decision in a meeting on Wednesday, a press release said.

The new prices will come into effect from Thursday (March 23).

Earlier on Tuesday, the jeweler’s association decreased gold price by Tk 1,166 per bhori.
