Gold prices rise twice in a day, now bhori Tk 2.41 lakh

Jewellers raised gold prices again around six hours after the rise, with the best quality gold (22-carat) up by Tk 4,433 per bhori.

Now, 22-carat gold will cost at Tk 241,445 per bhori, while the price of 21-carat gold rose by Tk 4,140 to Tk 2,30,422 a bhori, 18-carat by Tk 3,616 to Tk 1,97,530, and traditional method gold by Tk 2,916 to Tk 1,60,847, respectively.

The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) decided to hike gold prices on Saturday afternoon, March 28, citing an increase in the prices of pure gold in the local market.

The new prices take effect from 4:00 pm today, according to the BAJUS.

Earlier this morning, gold prices were hiked, with 22-carat gold surging by Tk 2,157 to 237,012 per bhori.
