Dhaka College suspends classes for 2 days, exams to continue

Dhaka College authorities have suspended all classes for the next two days — Wednesday and Thursday — following clashes between its students and those of Dhaka City College.
However, practical and viva voce examinations for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels will be held as per the previously announced schedule.
The announcement came in a notice signed by Acting Principal Professor Parveen Sultana Haider on Tuesday evening (April 22).
According to the notice, classes for 11th grade, honours, and master’s programs will remain suspended on April 23 and 24. However, practical and viva voce exams for honours and master’s students will continue as scheduled.
The reason for the suspension was cited as “unavoidable circumstances” in the notice.
Earlier, in an effort to prevent further unrest, Dhaka City College authorities also declared a two-day closure. Acting Principal FM Mobarak Hossain stated that all academic activities, including classes and exams, will remain suspended on Wednesday and Thursday.
