Notification issued elevating all pry head teachers to 10th grade

The government has issued a notification elevating all 65,502 head teachers of government primary schools to the 10th grade from the 11th grade of the national pay scale.

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education published the notification on Tuesday evening, December 23, recognising them as gazetted officers.

However, the notification was signed on December 15. 

Now, head teachers’ salaries have been upgraded to the 10th grade pay scale (Tk 16,000-Tk 38,640) from the 11th grade pay scale (Tk 12,500-Tk 30,230), the notification stated.

Earlier, the government decided in principle to upgrade all 65,502 head teachers of government primary schools to the 10th grade of the national pay scale, according to a letter issued by the Cabinet Division on December 10.
