Voting ends in JnUCSU polls; counting underway

Balloting in elections to the Jagannath University Central Students’ Union (JnUCSU) and Hall Union ended on Tuesday afternoon, January 6.
The voting began at 9:00 am and continued till 3:00 pm at all 38 polling centres without any break.
After the completion of the voting, ballot papers are being taken to the central control room set up at the university’s Central Auditorium, and vote counting is underway using digital OMR machines.
There are a total of 16,500 voters in the elections.
The election was initially scheduled to be held on December 30; however, it was rescheduled to January 6 following the death of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
