What police say about murder case against Iresh Zaker

A murder case has been filed against actor Iresh Zaker and 407 others. Iresh Zaker, who is also the Managing Director of the marketing and advertising agency Asiatic 360, has been named as the 157th accused in the case.

Following the news becoming public, fans, showbiz celebrities, and directors expressed anger and frustration.

Regarding the case, the police stated that after the court accepted the complaint, the police officially registered it.

A post regarding the case against Iresh Zaker was published on the verified Facebook page of Bangladesh Police on Tuesday (April 29).

The post stated, "The court accepted the complaint against actor Iresh Zaker and subsequently directed the Mirpur Model Police Station to register it as a case. Following the court's order, the police filed the case."

Sources said that a case was filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, actor Iresh Zaker, and 406 others over the alleged murder of BNP activist Mahfuz Alam Shraban.

The victim’s brother, Mostafizur Rahman Bappy, filed a petition with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Dhaka on April 20. On the same day, the court recorded his statement and ordered the Officer-in-Charge of Mirpur Model Police Station to register it as a regular case.
