Pakistan army ready to crush any Indian aggression: ISPR DG
Pakistan’s political leadership expressed strong unity amid escalating tensions with India, declaring full support for the Pakistan Army.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif, gave an in-camera briefing on national security to the country’s political leadership at the Pakistan Television Centre in Islamabad.
During the briefing, the ISPR DG stated that if aggression is imposed on Pakistan, the armed forces are fully prepared to give a befitting response to the enemy.
The session focused on national security concerns amid rising Pak-India tensions, particularly in the context of the alleged Pahalgam false flag operation. A large number of political party leaders attended the meeting.
Lt Gen Sharif emphasized that Pakistan is a peace-loving country and desires regional stability. However, any act of aggression will be met with a decisive response.
Alongside the ISPR DG, the federal information minister also briefed political leaders on diplomatic developments and the state's official stance.
Among the attendees were PPP’s Ali Haider Gillani, former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique, JUI’s Noor Alam Khan, Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, Minister of State for Sports Ehsan ur Rehman Mazari, Minister of State Barrister Aqeel Malik, and Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha.
Other participants included Federal Health Minister Dr. Nadeem Jan, Federal Minister Amir Muqam, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani, PPP’s Qamar Zaman Kaira, former KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, Sindh Ministers Nasir Shah, Sharjeel Memon, Saeed Ghani, PPP Parliamentarians’ Information Secretary Shazia Marri, and PM’s Special Assistant Shahbaz Badr.
