Woman gets life in jail for selling drug

A court in Tangail has sentenced a woman to life-term imprisonment for selling drugs.

Lifer Lipi Begum is a resident of Pustokamuri Sawdager Para in Mirzapur upazila.

Judge Mostafa Shahriar Khan of Tangail Additional District and Sessions Judge Court-2 gave the verdict on Tuesday.

The court's public prosecutor S Akber Khan told Jago News the Narcotics Control Department, Tangail arrested Lipi, 36, along with 100 grams of heroin and around Tk 2.19 lakh of the drug sale on March 6 of 2022.
