Public admin reform commission to submit report on Feb 5
The Public Administration Reform Commission is set to submit its report on Wednesday, February 5.
Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, the commission's chief, along with its members, will present the report to Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus on that day.
A commission member, speaking on condition of anonymity, disclosed this information on Monday, February 3. He stated that the report, which has already been completed, is nearly 200 pages long and is currently being bound into book form.
The eight-member commission was formed on October 3 of last year, with Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, a former adviser to the caretaker government, as its head. The number of commission members was later increased by three. The commission was established to create a public administration system that is citizen-centric, accountable, efficient, and impartial.
Initially, the commission was instructed to submit its report within 90 days (three months) to the chief adviser of the interim government. However, its tenure was extended three times, with the final deadline set for February 15. Since the work has been completed ahead of schedule, the commission has decided to submit the report earlier than planned.
