1 more dengue death, 420 fresh cases recorded in 24 hrs

Another death was reported from dengue in the last 24 hours (from Saturday 8:00am to Sunday 8:00am), taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 56 this year.

The new death was reported in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).

During the period, 420 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, raising the total cases to 14,880 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (July 13).

Of the new cases, highest 116 were reported in Barishal division (outside the city corporation), 79 in Chattogram division (outside the city corporation), 60 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporation), 25 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 57 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 26 cases were recorded in Khulna division (outside the city corporation), 9 in Mymensingh division (outside the city corporation), 45 in Rajshahi division (outside the city corporation), and 3 in Rangpur division (outside the city corporation).
