35 crude bombs recovered in Mohammadpur

The police have recovered 35 crude bombs and bomb-making equipment from Geneva Camp at Mohammadpur in Dhaka.

The crude bombs were recovered during a drive at a secret bomb factory on Friday afternoon, November 14, said Abdullah Al Mamun, assistant commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Mohammadpur Zone.

Further details would be provided later, he said.

The Awami League, which activities are currently banned, was making the crude bombs, and planning to distribte these in different areas of the capital centring November 17 as the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) set to deliver its verdict against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and two others on the day in a crimes against humanity case.
