Bus set on fire in Badda again

Miscreants set fire to a bus in Dhaka's North Badda on Sunday night, December 14, marking the second arson attack on bus in two days in the area.

The fire was reported on an 'Asim Paribahan' bus around 8:35 pm, said Md Shahjahan, control room duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Later, two units of firefighters rushed to the spot and were trying to douse the blaze, he said.

A witness said the incident occurred in front of AMZ Hospital on Pragati Sarani.

It is yet unclear who torched the bus, said Badda police station's officer-in-charge Nasirul Islam.

Earlier on Friday night, December 12, a moving bus was set ablaze in Gudaraghat area of Badda.
