Surayya made DNCC administrator as Azaz's term expires

Surayya Akhtar Jahan, additional secretary to the Local Government Division, has been appointed the new administrator of the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
The Local Government Division shared this information in a notification issued on Monday, February 9.
She replaces Mohammad Azaz, whose term expired.
On February 12, Azaz was appointed as the Dhaka North City Corporation administrator for a year.
The move comes as the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is investigating his alleged irregularities, graft and bribery.
Following the ACC's plea, a court imposed an overseas travel ban on Azaz, the former chairman of River and Delta Research Centre (RDRC), on February 1.
