2 killed in Moulvibazar microbus, CNG collision
At least two people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a microbus and a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Sreemangal upazila of Moulvibazar on Monday evening.
The accident occurred in the Sirajnagar area along the Dhaka–Sylhet regional highway.
The deceased include CNG driver Hannan Mia, 35, a resident of North Bharauara village in Sreemangal upazila. The identity of the second victim has not yet been confirmed.
According to police and local sources, a speeding microbus collided head-on with a passenger-carrying CNG auto rickshaw, leaving all four occupants critically injured.
Local residents rescued the injured and rushed them to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital where the attending doctors declared two of them dead upon arrival.
Confirming the matter, Sreemangal Police Station officer-in-charge Zahirul Islam Munna said that they are looking into the matter.
