People took to street to oust govt: Mosharraf

BNP Standing Committee Member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain has said the government is trying to repress BNP by suing the party men but people took to the street to oust it.

Mentioning that around 37 lakh BNP leaders and activists are now facing cases, he said, "Government is trying to repress BNP by making accused in lawsuits but people took to the street to topple it."

He made the remark during inaugurating BNP's march in Gabtali area of capital Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon. Organized by the party's Dhaka North City unit, the program ended in Mirpur 10.

Khandaker Mosharraf said when BNP announces any political program, Awami League also gives counter because it became scared seeing the opposition party's programs.

The BNP leader said the country's people no longer want AL in power and vote for the ruling party as it destructed democracy repeatedly, ruined the economy, and laundered money abroad through corruption in mega projects.

Saying this march of BNP is Awami League's advance to quitting power, he vowed, "By creating a firm mass unity, we will be able soon to depose the government."
