NCP to rally in Dhaka for justice, reforms, constituent assembly polls

The National Citizens Party, NCP, will hold a protest rally in Dhaka this week demanding the trial of Awami League for July massacre, reforms and constituent assembly elections.
The decision was taken in the third general meeting of NCP held at its office on Friday, April 18, with the party's convener Nahid Islam in the chair, NCP joint member secretary (office) Saleh Uddin Sifat said in a statement on Saturday, April 19.
The statement said the meeting also discussed determing NCP's area based organisational policy, making reforms related proposals, demanding the government to adopt effective policy to stop border killings, protesting against suppressing ongoing movement against Israeli atrocities in Gaza and Waqf bill in India and demanding the government to keep commodity prices stable.
The meeting unanimously decided to form an organisational 'discipline and investigation committee' following allegations of breaching organisational discipline surfaced against some NCP leaders and activists in social media platforms and public sphere.
